Delinio Studios was conceived with the conviction, that
thoughtful architecture enriches our lives. It is both our challenge and our
passion to create environments that nurture and embellish our daily existence.

Informal, nonsymmetrical floor plans coupled with façades showcasing a variety
of well-crafted details. The upper story walls rise halfway to meet the
hipped-roof, creating a roof-dominant elevation, accented by arched-top or
hipped dormers. Facades will consist of refined materials, such as cut or
chiseled stone and brick, accented by cast-stone ornamentation.
Very linear and axial in both plan and elevation. The stone façade of this home
is broken up by half-round arches, deep-set windows, intricate iron detailing,
and timber bracketed balconies and rooflines. The defining roof is comprised of
low pitches and lofty eaves, topped with one of a number of barrel tiles types.
Low pitched hipped roofs topped with mission tile, extended to cover both indoor
and outdoor living spaces. Ornamented by heavy wood shutters and timber
detailing, this all-stucco façade maintains a very linear appearance, broken up
by an abundance of windows and doors.
Not so much a departure from English Architecture as it is an augmentation.
Arts and Crafts takes the overall appearance, in terms of massing and structure,
but it adds to it a more human-scale array of detailing, such as intricate wood ornamentation,
smaller, more intimate entryways, and a variety of materials expressing the exterior.
The interior is informal, as it is arranged mostly according to spatial function,
and like the exterior, is a showcase of varying materials and intricate detailing.
Front-facing gables capping high walls of brick or stone and refined cast stone are the defining elements of English architecture. When you combine that with an informal, non-symmetrical plan and an exterior design that may contain various complexities, such as dormers, well-crafted and dominant chimneys, exposed wood structural elements, and high pitched roofs, you have what is called English Country.
